How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to stay ahead of the curve in terms of technology trends and advancements. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop architecture solutions that meet their requirements. You’ll also need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of technology solutions.

What you do

  • Solution architect to deliver the business capability ensuring architecture principles are adhered to, provide end-to-end architectural design, perform solution design reviews, and provide support/guidance on issues resolution as well as define architectural governance

  • Design end-to-end core banking solutions, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and integration with other systems.

  • Experience on solution design for core banking modernization and migration initiatives, including current-state assessment, target architecture definition, migration/cutover strategy, data conversion approach and coexistence design between legacy and target systems.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Provide detailed design using microservices design pattern and framework (domain-driven, bounded context, granularity of microservices)

  • Work hands-on with the engineering team and advise on complex coding, issues and resolution

  • Manage design and implementation challenges and conflicts by applying sound decisions based on architecture guidelines and principles.

  • Manage complexity by breaking down complex business requirements into simpler design blocks and provide alternatives if needed, to achieve better customer and employee experience

  • Be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued

 

Who you are

  • Minimum 6 years of working experience in technology solution implementation or technology solutioning or architect in core banking domain such as deposits or loans

  • At least 3 years of working experience in Micro-services design architecture, Messaging (MQ, Kafka), Java/J2EE, Cloud and infrastructure setup, end-to-end technology solution or projects implementation for bank

  • Experience on application or solution architecture in Financial Services industry with a focus on the core banking domain such as customer, deposits or loans, is preferable.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; both written and verbal communications as well as visualizations/presentations

  • A team player that able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.

  • Must be highly reliable, trustworthy, honest, and commitment oriented

  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities

  • Experience in defining architectures (e.g practical design principles, technology stacks, technology solution design diagrams, etc)

  • Ability to drive an independent view on project from an architectural standpoint

  • Possess strong thought-leadership and experience in mentoring/coaching of staff or teams
