Make an Impact by:
- Attend to activation by Supervisor, TAC, Inoc, etc for any DWDM alarm and customer escalation.
- Perform trouble shooting and root cause failure analysis for fault and escalation.
- Coordinate and assist in support with vendors and field teams
- Able to communicate clearly with field engineers to restore faults.
- Perform appropriate testing to ensure proper service restoration after fault clearing.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on DWDM equipment on regular basis including housekeeping.
- Establish and maintain SOP and processes.
- Support migration, software upgrade and any other responsibilities assigned by the Manager
Skills for Success:
- Diploma in Telecommunication/Computer Science Engineering or Electrical/Electronics & Communications Engineering, Electronics, Info-Comm Technology.
- At least 2 years relevant experience working in telecommunications or multimedia engineering would be an advantage.
- Able to be on shift/standby duty 24×7 on-site or data centre as per task assigned.
- IP, Linux knowledge, telco experience will be an advantage.
- Good report writing skills, conversant in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and able to adapt to a dynamic working environment
- Customer-oriented, and capable of collaborate and work well with others
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
