How you succeed
As a Cloud Support Engineer – within the Infrastructure as a Service Cloud Operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational excellence of our multi-cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and Google Cloud Platform. You will be responsible for monitoring system health, troubleshooting issues, maintaining standards, and supporting new cloud initiatives. Your expertise will help resolve system-level challenges and drive collaborative solutions with stakeholders, contributing directly to the stability and growth of our cloud landscape.

What you do

  • Cloud Operations: As part of the Run the Bank team, you will proactively oversee the performance, health, and reliability of the multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations. This role requires supporting 24/7/365 operations, which may involve working On-Call on rotations during odd hours, weekends, or holidays to maintain service continuity.

  • Standards & Compliance: Maintain high operational standards by adhering to established cloud best practices, security controls, and regulatory requirements. Support the consistent application of operational and compliance policies, ensuring that controls are continuously enforced across all environments in a round‑the‑clock operational model. Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve system‑level issues across cloud infrastructure, operating systems, and supported applications. Perform in‑depth troubleshooting and log analysis to restore services within defined SLAs. Respond to production incidents during off‑hours, weekends, or holidays as required to ensure timely and effective resolution.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, driving issues to closure and delivering outstanding support, regardless of the time of day, in line with the demands of continuous operations.

  • Support for New Initiatives: Contribute to the design, implementation, support, and optimisation of new cloud projects and services, remaining flexible to aid during off hours whenever project requirements dictate.

  • Knowledge Sharing:   Create Develop documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to enable effective support and promote self‑service. . Ensure materials are current, accessible and relevant for teams operating across difference shifts in a 24/7 environment.

Who you are

  • Hands-on experience with commercial cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud) in a multi-cloud environment.

  • Proven system administration experience, including troubleshooting operating systems and application logs, along with knowledge of administrative tasks to resolve system-level issues.

  • Experience in infrastructure as a code using AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, Puppet or similar frameworks to provision, manage and maintain cloud infrastructure consistently.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with cloud technologies as well as infrastructure domains such as virtual server technologies, networking, internet protocols, scripting, automation, monitoring and observability tools.

  • Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns and operational best practices, and high availability design principles applicable to regulated banking environments

  • Basic knowledge of container platforms (OpenShift / Kubernetes), middleware (Kafka, Redis), databases (Aurora, Postgres)

  • Total work experience of 10+ years

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in managing multi cloud environments, application services.

  • Certification in AWS, Azure, OCI or GCP is preferred.
