The Finance Director is a key member of the leadership team responsible for leading the organization’s overall finance function, ensuring strong financial governance, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and optimal capital management. The role oversees financial planning and analysis, treasury operations, investment portfolio management, tax, legal and corporate secretarial matters, audit coordination, hr support and payroll, and financial reporting to support sustainable business growth and shareholder value creation.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Finance Director serves as a trusted advisor to senior management on financial, investment, risk and corporate governance matters. The role also serves as a business partner to the Investment Committee and Board of Directors in providing timely information on investment portfolio, evaluating impairment provisions and safeguarding shareholder assets.
The scope covers 6 entities across 4 countries, inclusive of Singapore.
Make An Impact By
Financial Leadership
- Provide periodic financial insights to the CEO, Board and senior leadership team.
- Drive financial discipline across the organization.
- Maintain financial performance and manage manpower issues.
- Establish and maintain robust financial policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated financial report.
- Oversee statutory reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Present insightful financial performance to senior management and the Board.
- Maintain high standards of financial integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecast processes.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Develop scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide actionable insights on cost optimization and resource allocation.
Investment Portfolio
- Support the investment team maintaining overview of the company’s total investment portfolio value.
- Coordinate with investment team lead on funding, exits, investment performance, liquidity requirements, risk and impairment assessment.
- Present impairment paper to management and the Board for approval.
- Coordinate with investment lead and auditors on valuation assessment of portfolio companies.
- Ensure compliance with investment policies and risk management guidelines.
- Manage and maintain relationship with security stock broker for quoted shares held.
- Point of contact for accepting and management of share certificates.
