ROLE
The AI Product Builder role within OCBC AI Lab combines product stewardship and influence, rapid AI prototyping, and engineering execution. You will own the product roadmap for selected AI solutions, lead fast 0‑to‑1 builds using modern AI‑assisted and agentic engineering approaches, and partner closely with engineering squads to ensure solutions are production‑ready and scalable.
This role reports directly to the AI Lab’s Data Science Squad Lead and is accountable for the end‑to‑end success of the products, from problem definition through to measurable business outcomes in production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Stewardship and Influence

Advise business’ chief product owners on AI product vision, roadmap, and success metrics from ideation to production.

Translate business needs into clear outcomes and technical direction.

Balance rapid experimentation with long‑term scalability and sustainability.
Rapid Prototyping
-
Build and iterate AI prototypes quickly by making use of modern AI and automation tools and work closely with each Data Science squad to validate ideas and accelerate delivery.

Validate ideas through working solutions that demonstrate clear business value.

Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them pragmatically.
Engineering & Delivery

Design prototypes with production deployment in mind.

Work with engineering and platform squads to transition solutions into production.

Ensure alignment with enterprise standards on security, reliability, and maintainability.
Collaboration

Partner closely with data scientists, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.

Act as a bridge between business, product, and engineering teams.

Contribute reusable patterns and best practices to the AI Lab.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
-
Strong hands‑on background in Data Science or applied AI.
-
At least 7-10 years of product management experience, including feature ownership or roadmap delivery.

Experience building solutions from concept to prototype, with exposure to production deployment.
Skills

Solid programming and solution‑building experience (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).

Working knowledge of modern AI/ML systems and intelligent workflows.

Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals and APIs.

Ability to build quick prototypes with vibe coding tools to drive product roadmap

Passionate about new and emerging technologies with a strong builder mindset.

Comfortable working in ambiguity and moving quickly from idea to execution.

Strong product thinking and communication skills.

Self‑driven and motivated to operate in a business‑facing role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and Business CPOs on long‑term AI product roadmaps.
