Summary

Establish and maintain our capabilities and best in class people for Network Technology Design, Build and Operations through inculcating a reliability engineering 1st mindset amongst the community of practice. The coverage area includes Security Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC).

 

Job Scope

  1. Raise, train, and sustain a community of professionals who specialise in designing, building, transitioning and operating Network Technology. Recruit, manage and keep skilled staff in a demanding and dynamic environment.
  2. Champion the technology journey. Define Network Technology strategy, architecture standards and guidelines, processes, tools, and automation to include transition, delivery, provisioning, and operations support.
  3. Assess the Technical Management organization and operations (people, process, and technology) to determine the best course of action for the Network Technology journey. Build capabilities by certifying a critical mass of Subject Matter Experts with strong product skill sets as well as establishing new, or maintaining existing, robust partner accreditations or statuses with renowned product principals.
  4. Gear the Technical Management organization towards a modernized Network Technology operational or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environment. Devise, implement and maintain agile processes and controls that assure maximum uptime and quick service to clients of the networks.
  5. Plan, strategize and manage the overall Network practice including management of centre financials and development of new Network Technology services/offerings.
  6. Provide thought leadership in managing and continuously improving implementations and operations in Network Technology.
  7. Hunt for and manage delivery of Network Technology services and drive continuous improvement in support of overall business strategy and customer satisfaction.
  8. Build relationships. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders at different levels including upper management. Manage stakeholders’ expectations and facilitate discussions across high risk and high complexity situations or under constrained timescales. Maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
  9. Manage crisis by providing quick workaround solution to customers/stakeholders

 

The ideal Candidate Should Have:

 

  1. Degree with at least 20 years of Network Technology implementation and operations management experience.
  2. Minimum of 15 years’ experience leading a Network Technology function particularly in large service providers or enterprises.
  3. Certified at Professional or Specialty level and up to date in several technology areas of Enterprise Networking, Data Centre/Cloud Networking, Network Security Infrastructure, Network Visibility & Enforcement, Application Delivery Controller, Routing & Switching and Net DevOps.
  4. Experience and knowledge in ITIL/ITSM (preferably ITIL 4) are a must.
  5. Experience managing Systems, Storage, Virtualisation, Security or Cloud teams, technologies and products would be added advantage.
  6. Strong problem solving and inter-personal skills to engage stakeholders of different levels.
  7. Strong people management skills and experience managing a large, diversified team.
  8. Government domain experience is an added advantage.
