Overview
As a SAP Integration Lead, you will need to design, implement, and manage SAP integration solutions across a complex system landscape. This role involves overseeing seamless integration between SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring data quality, security, and performance while aligning with business objectives. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in SAP implementation and support, expertise in SAP interface technologies (SAP Gateway, RFC/BAPI, IDOC), web service technologies (REST, SOAP, OData), and SAP Integration Suite solutions. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and relevant SAP certifications are highly desirable.
What will you do?
Integration Strategy & Architecture
- Develop and oversee the integration strategy and roadmap for SAP systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT infrastructure.
- Design and architect integration solutions that connect SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW) with third-party applications and legacy systems.
- Ensure integration solutions support scalability, performance, and high availability across the system landscape.
Implementation & Technical Execution
- Implement integration solutions using industry standards such as REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and more.
- Utilize SAP interface technologies (SAP Gateway, RFC/BAPI, IDOC) and SAP Cloud Connector for seamless integration.
- Work with message mapping techniques (graphic and XSLT mapping) and various standard adapters (RFC, IDOC, JDBC, SFTP, SOAP, HTTPS, OData).
- Manage batch vs. real-time processing to optimize data handling for reliability and performance.
Data Management & Security
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across SAP and external systems, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
- Address data mapping, transformation, and synchronization requirements to ensure seamless data flow.
- Implement security protocols such as SSL, OAuth, SAML for secure integrations.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead cross-functional teams, including functional and technical experts, to drive successful integration project delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for integration-related issues, managing stakeholder expectations and providing solutions.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously assess and enhance integration processes, leveraging new SAP technologies, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in SAP integration and middleware solutions, recommending innovative approaches when needed.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Relevant SAP Certifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP implementation and support projects
- Strong expertise in SAP interface technologies (SAP Gateway, RFC/BAPI, IDOC) and SAP Integration Suite solutions
- Experience with web service technologies (REST, OData, SOAP) and security protocols (SSL, OAuth, SAML)
- Proficiency in message mapping techniques (graphic and XSLT mapping) and standard adapters (JDBC, SFTP, SOAP, HTTPS, OData, JSON, XML)
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing end-to-end integration solutions for complex business requirements
- Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
