How you succeed
To excel in this role, you’ll need to lead the front-to-back operational execution layer across Markets Operations, covering transaction support, post-trade transaction services, settlement, collateral, confirmations, brokerage and invoicing, cash management, funding, structured products support and related BAU service capabilities. This role anchors the Run pillar of the Markets Operations leadership model and ensures daily execution is resilient, controlled, scalable and aligned to business growth.
What you do
1. Transaction Support & T-Date Execution
-
Lead transaction support covering T0 / T-date processes, including trade validation, trade matching, affirmation, confirmations and issue resolution.

Ensure timely and accurate operational support for Markets products, with clear ownership of front-to-back transaction hand-offs.

Adhere to regulatory and compliance markets and set best practices

Strengthen first-line operational discipline across trade lifecycle processes, reducing breaks, delays, rework and exception management.
2. Post-Trade Transaction Services

Oversee settlement, clearing, ETD, OTC, collateral management, brokerage, invoicing, cash management and funding reporting.

Establish service standards, escalation protocols, performance metrics and accountability across transaction servicing teams.

Drive operational resilience across high-volume, time-critical and risk-sensitive Markets Operations processes.

Act as a senior Operations partner to Global Markets stakeholders, ensuring BAU delivery supports business growth, client outcomes and strategic product expansion.

Build a service-centric culture focused on responsiveness, transparency, issue ownership and end-to-end resolution.

Partner Country Operations and COE teams to balance local market requirements with globally consistent execution standards.
3. Process Discipline, Scalability & Efficiency

Identify bottleneck processes, control gaps, duplication and manual workarounds across transaction services.

Drive productivity, standardisation and simplification initiatives to improve scalability and reduce operational risk.

Work with Change Governance and Business Solutions teams to transition tactical or manual processes into sustainable BAU operating models.

Ensure operational processes are executed within agreed control standards, regulatory expectations and internal governance requirements.

Own BAU risk identification, escalation, incident management and remediation across transaction support and services.

Partner the Control function to embed self-assessment, control effectiveness and proactive issue prevention across teams.
4. People Leadership & Capability Building

Lead and develop a high-performing specialist operations team with clear accountability, role clarity and product / process expertise.

Build capability across transaction lifecycle and automation disciplines, including settlement, collateral, confirmations, funding and structured products support.

Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, resilience and continuous improvement.
Who you are
-
Minimum 15–20 years of experience in Markets Operations, transaction services, post-trade operations, securities financing, treasury operations, derivatives operations or related financial markets functions.

Proven experience leading complex operational teams across multiple products, markets and transaction lifecycle processes.

Strong understanding of Markets products, post-trade processes, settlement, collateral, confirmations, funding, brokerage and operational risk.

Experience operating at senior management level with strong stakeholder engagement across Business, Operations, Technology, Risk and Control.

Track record in driving operational excellence, process standardisation, resilience and efficiency across complex environments.

Excellent execution discipline and operational judgement with a risk and control mindset

Ability to simplify complexity and drive practical outcomes

Poise with effective Senior stakeholder management skillsets
