DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Process Engineer for the AWS Data Center Physical Security team.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage,
networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re
looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

In this role, you will drive transformational changes by identifying process improvement opportunities, developing innovative solutions, and implementing automation across our data center security landscape. You will partner with multiple stakeholder teams across the organization to identify operational inefficiencies, reduce defects, and optimize costs within current processes. You will lead the development of automation solutions and GenAI-powered tools to enhance data center security operations, ensure operational standards are consistently applied, and drive innovation projects from conception to implementation. This includes developing new tools, identifying and replicating best practices, and continuously raising the performance bar through data-driven process improvements.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in engineering and automation. You must demonstrate success in developing innovative solutions, with experience in GenAI and process automation tools. You should thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and excel at managing competing priorities. We’re looking for someone who is analytically strong, passionate about continuous improvement, and effective at collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement transformative solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without authority are essential for success in this role.
