As a Product Specialist in Share Margin Financing, you’ll play a key role in driving the growth of our investment products. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders to develop and launch new products, and enhance existing ones. How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have a deep understanding of the investment market and our customers’ needs. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product strategies that meet our customers’ evolving needs. You’ll also need to stay up-to-date with market trends and regulatory changes to ensure our products remain competitive.

What you do

1. Product Management (TR Servicing)

  • Drive revenue by working with TRs and RMs to increase loan book – onboarding new clients and servicing existing clients. Preparation of credit proposals for deviated parameters.

  • Assessment of requests for interest rate for clients. Management of existing interest rates and schemes to ensure net interest income sustainability vs borrowing costs, with regular review of clients’ interest rates.

  • Work closely with various departments, especially Risk and Operations for day-to-day servicing of clients’ margin accounts – e.g., collateral management, rates, margin calls, fees.

  • Conduct product presentations and training for sales teams for share margin financing.

2. Management Reporting and Operations Management

  • Compute interest income sharing payout monthly for TRs and interest sharing monthly for intragroup referred clients. May require support on weekends or public holidays.

  • Track margin statistics daily and monthly for performance management of share margin financing loan book. Prepare business projections for existing loan book and new market launches to support annual KPI planning and regular management review.

  • Lead intragroup cross-referral collaboration initiatives to provide share financing to intragroup referred clients. Liaise with multiple divisions to onboard referred clients.

  • Compilation of reports and slides for monthly reporting to management.

  • Draft and review intragroup collaboration agreements between OCBC Securities and other OCBC Group entities for the purposes of revenue sharing, cross-referrals or other commercial terms.

3. Product Development

  • Participate in regular product and system enhancement testing for both front-end and backend systems. Preparation of system specifications and test cases and coordination with other stakeholders for UAT testing.

  • Coordinate and prepare the annual product review by functional experts. Liaise with external experts where necessary for new launches (e.g., foreign legal counsel or industry experts).

  • Conduct market analysis of stockbroking competitors and regularly review product offering for competitiveness. Regular update of website and product documentation where necessary.

  • Keep abreast of the business and regulatory landscape for securities in Singapore, analysing the impact of regulatory changes on the business.

  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned – Marketing Coordinator within Securities Products

4. Project Management

  • Given the senority of the hire, the applicant should be able to handle, and lead projects management work initative within the Team. This would include provision of necessary guidance, planning and management of a project team.

Who you are

  • Applicant will need to be RNF License Representative or be able to pass the CFMAS exams to be licensed for this role.

  • A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in product management or a related field

  • Strong understanding of the investment market and regulatory requirements

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
