The Talent Acquisition Consultant, AI Strategy will play a critical role in shaping the future of AI talent for an AI-first telecommunications organization. This position is responsible for designing and executing a forward-looking AI talent strategy that integrates both local and global sourcing priorities. The consultant will lead strategic initiatives to build sustainable AI talent pipelines, proactively map critical roles, and anticipate emerging capabilities that align with the organization’s digital transformation and innovation agenda.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. AI Sourcing Strategy Development

  • Design and implement targeted sourcing strategies for AI talent, supporting the build, buy, borrow, and bridge models.
  • Forge partnerships with universities, research institutes, and AI communities regionally and globally to create sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture as well as business leaders to identify high-impact sourcing channels, including cross-border mobility, remote delivery model, workforce planning, and diversity hiring initiatives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand technical hiring needs, team goals, and role requirements focused on technical skill set sourcing.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, to onboarding support.
  • Promote the company’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and tech culture to attract top talent

2. Proactive Role Mapping & Career Pathways

  • Develop and refine AI job roles and career pathways using established frameworks and internal capability models.
  • Align AI roles with business priorities in telecommunications, such as network intelligence, IT operations, customer experience automation, and emerging tech domains.
  • Maintain a dynamic role inventory that reflects current and future AI capabilities, including feeder roles from data, engineering, and product functions.

3. Anticipating Emerging AI Roles

  • Monitor industry trends, internal transformation programs, and technology roadmaps to forecast new AI roles relevant to telco-tech.
  • Partner with AI business leaders to define and validate emerging AI roles.

4. Strategic Workforce Planning & Roadmap Alignment

  • Contribute to the design and execution of the AI workforce roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, transformation timelines, and regional talent strategies.
  • Support strategic workforce planning initiatives.

5. Governance, Ethics & Role Design

  • Ensure AI roles and sourcing strategies comply with governance and ethical standards outlined in the AI workforce plan.
  • Partner with relevant teams to define boundaries of human vs. AI accountability in job design, particularly in regulated environments like telecommunications.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Technology, or related field, and IHRP certified.
  • Minimum 8 years in talent strategy, workforce planning, or consulting, with at least 2 years focused on AI or emerging tech domains in the telco or tech industry.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good understanding of AI technologies, roles, and skills frameworks relevant to telecommunications and digital platforms.
  • Expertise in strategic regional/global sourcing models.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into actionable workforce plans.
