How you succeed
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our Global Markets Equities team, specializing in Futures and Derivatives Business Development. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, a strong client focus, and a collaborative approach to driving business growth and operational excellence.
What you do
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Operations, Risk and Compliance, and Customer Service to ensure a cohesive and aligned sales strategy.

Facilitate seamless communication and foster collaboration across departments to enhance client experience and maximize sales effectiveness.

Act as a key liaison across multiple business units including Group Wholesale Banking (GWB), Bank of Singapore (BOS), Private Premier Clients (PPC), and Equities to deliver integrated and comprehensive client solutions.

Leverage synergies between Corporate Banking, OCBC Securities (Futures), and Global Markets to provide clients with holistic solutions encompassing physical trade financing, paper hedging, and FX currency risk management.
Relationship Management and Client Onboarding

Develop an in-depth understanding of clients’ business models and trading strategies to maximize wallet share and deepen client relationships.

Guide clients through the onboarding process with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring a smooth transition and strong ongoing engagement.

Respond promptly and effectively to client enquiries related to Futures, FX, and CFDs trading, proactively troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Strategic Execution and Business Growth

Set and achieve clear performance targets, continuously monitoring progress and implementing strategies to overcome challenges and exceed goals.

Manage marketing initiatives, promotions, cost-saving projects, and other strategic programs to support business objectives.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships through strategic sales planning and cross-unit collaboration.
Risk Management
-
Work closely with the risk management team to evaluate credit proposals and analyse client trading strategies, ensuring sound portfolio risk controls and compliance.
Who you are
-
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
-
5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Financial Markets, with a strong preference for expertise in Futures and Leveraged FX.
-
CMFAS Certification (M2A, M5, M6A) is mandatory.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (both written and oral).

Proven leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated history of driving high performance and delivering results.

Established client network with a portfolio of active clients is highly desirable.

Highly motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Committed to continuous personal and professional development, aligned with strong work ethics and the organization’s LIFRR values.

Exceptional business acumen with a client-centric mindset, consistently achieving high client retention and generating referrals from clients and internal stakeholders.

Familiarity with corporate and institutional banking is an advantage.

Proficient in coordinating with support functions including Operations, IT, Risk, and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery and foster a high-performance culture.
