The Workplace Banking Business Development Manager will spearhead strategic business development initiatives within the Workplace Banking department. This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive consumer banking offerings to employees of corporate clients, while also providing innovative commercial banking solutions to employers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Customer Acquisition

  • Formulate and execute targeted customer acquisition strategies grounded in a deep understanding of client needs.

  • Prioritize the acquisition of new-to-bank customers to drive portfolio growth.

2. Data-Driven Acquisition Optimization

  • Partner with the analytics team to identify high-potential prospects and leverage data insights to refine acquisition tactics.

  • Continuously enhance acquisition strategies to maximize conversion and ROI.

3. Customer Onboarding and Engagement Excellence

  • Design and implement workplace engagement initiatives (e.g., Lunch Talks, Staff Bazaars) to effectively cross-sell banking products.

  • Promote adoption of 360-degree salary accounts and a suite of personal and premier banking products, including CASA, credit cards, personal loans, and secured loans.

  • Lead efforts to optimize the onboarding process and customer journey, enhancing experience and improving conversion metrics.

  • Engage directly with business owners to facilitate employee salary crediting to OCBC, integrating value-added offerings such as enhanced medical benefits and seamless integration with employee wellness and HR platforms.

4. Corporate Partnership Management

  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with corporate clients, proactively identifying evolving needs and delivering tailored product solutions.

  • Drive ongoing business engagement to unlock recurring revenue opportunities.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with OCBC’s Global Corporate and Commercial Banking teams to secure warm referrals and expand client reach.

  • Collaborate with the Branch Banking network to develop community-based ecosystems through targeted initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma.

  • Demonstrated expertise in business development with a strong commercial acumen.

  • Prior experience in Workplace Banking or B2B sales is preferred.

  • Experience in corporate banking, corporate insurance, or corporate client solutions is an added advantage.

  • Exceptional communication skills, coupled with strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
