We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Online Trading Area Product Owner to join our dynamic digital channels team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and enhancing our multi-channel online trading platform tailored for private banking clients. You will work closely with cross-functional squads to maximize product value, ensuring seamless and innovative digital trading experiences that meet the sophisticated needs of our high-net-worth clientele.

Main Duties

  • Own and manage the product backlog for the online trading platform, collaborating closely with the squad and engaging extensively with private banking clients and front office teams to capture evolving requirements.

  • Drive detailed refinement and prioritization of user stories, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.

  • Partner with IT Business Analysts and software engineers to translate complex trading requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications.

  • Lead user story grooming sessions, sprint planning, and define clear acceptance criteria to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Support user verification testing, change management, and go-live activities to guarantee smooth product rollouts.

  • Develop comprehensive user training materials and facilitate training sessions for internal stakeholders and end-users.

  • Prepare and execute product rollout plans, including communication strategies to drive adoption and engagement.

  • Monitor, track, and report on feature usage and engagement metrics, using insights to drive continuous improvement.

  • Maintain proactive communication with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.

  • Ensure the product complies with relevant private banking regulations and internal governance standards.

  • Experience: 8 – 10 years in business analysis or junior product ownership roles, preferably within private banking or financial services, with a strong focus on digital trading platforms

  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional technology projects in banking environments.

  • Strong ability to engage with end users, gather detailed requirements, and translate them into user stories for agile development teams.

  • Self-driven and delivery-focused mindset with excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, able to work confidently with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical and business perspectives.

  • Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, proficient with Jira, and familiarity or willingness to learn Gherkin syntax for user stories.

  • Highly organized with a strategic approach to planning and execution.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and culturally diverse environment.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to private banking and online trading.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.

  • A degree holder.  Possession of MBA degree or related qualification is advantageous.
