Derivatives Support Officer
Why Join
The incumbent will be responsible for the post-execution support of new and existing Equities and rates derivative products, ensuring timely and accurate capture of trades into Bank of Singapore core banking risk system. This is also a control function role requiring the incumbent to work closely with Front Office, Trading Desks and Technology in managing the bank’s risk relating to the supported product classes. These combined, the incumbent should be able to contribute significantly in a team setting, apply critical thinking to problem solving and excel under stressful conditions.
What you do
Trade Capture and Trade Lifecycle management
-
Ensure accurate capture and processing of trades into Bank’s core banking platform within regulatory timelines
-
Monitor and manage STP exceptions to ensure completeness and accuracy of trade bookings
-
Manage queries from internal and external stakeholders relating to trade bookings and /or trade lifecycle events.

Perform independent assessment of lifecycle events and reconcile against counterparties
-
Book lifecycle resultants into core banking for settlements and update of clients positions
Controls
-
Perform End of Day control checks and ensure BAU tasks are completed
-
Reconcile and investigate any inter-system breaks flagged escalate to the relevant parties where necessary

Nostro and Stock Breaks investigation and resolution

Perform daily validation and enrichment of derivatives reporting for MAS (DTCC) and HKMA (HKTR)
Collateral management
-
Reconcile and manage BOS cash collateral with counterparties
-
Liaise with risk team in the event of disputes arising from calling / top-ups of collateral
Documentation and Reconciliation

Perform validation on long form ISDA confirmation for FX derivatives and Equities derivatives products received from counterparties against our trade booking in T24 core system

Liaise with counterparties/internal stakeholders for any trade discrepancies

Daily update tracker and monitoring of non-receipt of confirmation from counterparties and escalation where applicable

Update weekly control report to ensure our documentation control aligned with KRI
Change Management

Identify control gaps and work with team to review process efficiency and deliver improvements

Participate in project deliveries and UAT where nominated by line manager
Ad Hoc
Manage any ad hoc assignments delegated by line manager
Who you are
-
3 to 5 years experience in Private Bank Operations, especially in the area of Equities Settlements or Equity Derivatives role.

Clear written & verbal communication skills with all stakeholders, including Dealers, Front Office, and other support divisions

Ability to work and deliver effectively under time pressure
-
Working knowledge on industry platforms like Temenos or Triresolve is preferred
-
Familiarity on derivatives regulatory reporting requirements and VBA is a plus
-
Degree or Diploma qualified
