How you succeed

To excel in this role, you’ll need to combine strong technical skills with commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the loan market. You’ll work closely with our origination, syndication, and distribution teams to identify opportunities, structure transactions, and execute trades. Your ability to analyze complex financial data, think critically, and communicate effectively will be essential in driving success in this role.

Position Overview:

The candidate will be a pivotal member of the Loans Origination (Indonesia) team within Loan Capital Markets, with a primary focus on independently originating and executing syndicated loan transactions specifically within the Indonesian market. Deep expertise and a strong network in Indonesia’s syndication and capital markets are essential.

What you do

  • Proactively originate and structure syndicated loan deals tailored to the unique dynamics and regulatory environment of the Indonesian market.
  • Utilize an extensive and well-established network within Indonesia’s syndication markets to identify and secure high-quality lending opportunities.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of Indonesian clients’ financing needs, encompassing transaction due diligence, debt capacity, and market liquidity, while staying abreast of local pricing trends and market developments.

  • Provide strategic recommendations on financing solutions that align with Indonesia’s economic conditions, regulatory framework, and market practices.

  • Prepare comprehensive financing proposals, credit memoranda, term sheets, cash flow models, information memoranda, and investor presentations, leveraging local market insights and collaborating closely with junior team members.

  • Lead the end-to-end execution process for Indonesian deals, including syndication launch preparation, documentation review, investor engagement, and deal closing, ensuring compliance with local regulations and market standards.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth transaction execution from mandate through closing, with a focus on the Indonesian market landscape.

  • Partner with the distribution team to develop underwriting, pricing, liquidity, and syndication strategies that reflect the nuances of Indonesia’s capital markets.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing deep knowledge of the Indonesian market to build team capability.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience in corporate banking, investment banking, and/or loan syndication, with a strong track record specifically in the Indonesian market.
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit analysis, loan structuring, loan syndication, and capital markets within Indonesia.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships in Indonesia’s financial sector.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering innovative financing solutions tailored to Indonesian clients.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable.
