Bank of Singapore is subsidiary of OCBC, is seeking a qualified candidate to assist the data engineering team in their operational and analytical needs. The Technical Data Analyst will work alongside the data platform and engineering team to provide support for data-related tasks such as data ingestion, data interface for structured/unstructured data, data analytics, and data management. They will also be responsible for building interfaces from various upstream systems and ingesting the data into Operational Data Platform. How you succeed

  • Excellent querying skills using SQL and experience in data modelling.

  • Experienced in structured data integration and transformation using ETL, ELT processes.

  • SSIS, SQL, Kafka, Python, Data Modeling, design & analytics.

  • Real time data injection, Temenos product knowledge (DW store or TDH)

  • Good in communication and stakeholder

What you do

  • Collaborate with business users and technical team members on the architecture, design, and development of scalable ETL processes using SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS).

  • Excellent querying skills using SQL and experience in data modelling.

  • Experience in structured data integration and transformation using ETL/ELT processes.

  • Strong skills in SSIS, SQL, Python Kafka, data modelling, design, and analytics.

  • Real-time data injection and knowledge of Temenos products (DW Store or TDH).

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.

  • Apply data engineering and visualization technologies to achieve data analytics objectives.

  • Integrate structured and unstructured data from various sources to build analytical data stores and pipelines.

  • Implement best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing, and other ETL-related activities.

  • Maintain code libraries, conduct unit tests, and participate in requirements, design, and development reviews.

  • Analyse source system data, resolve data quality issues, and refine transformation rules.

  • Design and develop ETL processes, source-to-target data mappings, integration workflows, and load processes.

  • Use SSIS platform for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

  • Provide data analysis and technical documentation for source and target mappings.

  • Identify problems, propose solutions, and apply creative thinking to reporting solution alternatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server SSIS.

  • Understanding of modern data warehouse architectures and data warehouse modernization techniques.

  • Knowledge of BI architecture, data warehousing concepts, and data vault model.

  • Proficiency in SQL language with common database platforms such as SQL Server and Oracle.

  • Experience with Control M Scheduler and DevOps practices/tools is a plus.

  • Knowledge and experience in private/premier banking business is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Motivated and demonstrates initiative.

  • Critical thinking and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with project members.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
