As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for driving a culture of product mindset and measurable impact at NCS, championing innovation and design thinking to shape, deliver, and celebrate value for our clients and communities.

 

What you will do:

1. Product & Innovation Leadership

  • Champion and embed a “Product Mindset” across NCS NEXT, defining, measuring, and celebrating impact through innovation.
  • Bring fresh energy and external perspective to the design thinking and product leadership space.
  • Identify and deliver “lighthouse” projects that showcase tangible value and innovation.
  • Develop and propagate frameworks for assessing the value of applied innovation in a Technology Services context.

2. Design Thinking & Co-Creation

  • Lead and facilitate applied design thinking initiatives, working with NEXT Practice Leads and key clients to co-create solutions.
  • Mentor and build capacity in design thinking, change management, agile, and product management across Team NCS.

3. AI, Intelligentisation & Emerging Tech

  • Drive intelligentisation and AI-led pursuits, including strategic collaborations and Gen AI projects.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Growth

  • Operate within the Digital Experience team, collaborating closely with Digital Engineering to deliver and demonstrate value.
  • Partner with Enterprise SBG to unlock and shape new growth opportunities.

 

5. Agile Methodology & Delivery Enablement

  • Leverage certified Scrum Master expertise to enable agile ways of working.

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

Essential Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • More than 10 years of experience in IT Consultancy or IT Project Management.
  • Proven experience in design thinking, product management, and agile delivery (certified Scrum Master).
  • Track record of driving innovation and measurable impact, ideally with exposure to AI and Gen AI.
  • Strong collaborator, able to influence and energise cross-functional teams.
  • Experience should involve a mix of business and technology consulting across the lifecycle of IT (examples may include assessment and analysis, design, business case development, architecture, envisioning, planning, deployment, benefits analysis, and management)
  • Solid understanding of interoperability issues and the strengths and weaknesses of platforms and products
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
