We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Solution Architect to join our Software and Infrastructure team within the Enterprise Platforms product group. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for driving the architecture, design, and deployment of the Singtel Telco Edge Cloud, GPU Private Cloud, and related platform services. You will play a key role in shaping end-to-end solution blueprints, defining integration patterns, and enabling customer workload onboarding and operationalization across our edge and cloud ecosystems.

You will work closely with cross-functional engineering, product, business, and architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong architectural leadership, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable, high-quality designs that support Singtel’s next-generation enterprise cloud offerings.

 

  • Understand in depth, the security principles, resilience and high availability requirements of the Singtel private cloud telco edge cloud and GPU private cloud.
  • Design solution architectures for customer apps/workloads and facilitate trial deployments of the 5G apps on the private cloud.
  • Co-design and develop applications with enterprise customers and partners and facilitate customer trials/experiments and internal R&D trials/experiments.
  • Lead selection of technology components across the infrastructure stack of the private cloud.
  • Design deployment of SAAS and PAAS workloads on the Private cloud.
  • Evangelize the platform and telco edge cloud infrastructure for use by other business units within SingTel and group companies and lead the solution design for these applications to effectively use the platform.
  • Interact with implementation partners and customers to understand their needs, and feed this back to the development teams and roadmap.
  • Participate in technical partnership conversations and due diligence.
  • Participate and lead in technical evaluations of partner technology with a hands on approach.

Hypervisors                                                                      VMWare ESXi, OpenStack, KVM, Nutanix (any 2)

Switches and firewalls                                                     Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, NVIDIA or similar

Servers                                                                              Rack mount servers, Blade servers, GPU Servers.

Networking                                                                      BGP, OSPF, VXLAN and L2/L3 networking concepts

Filesystems and storage                                                  NFS, PFS or similar

Operating Systems                                                          Linux

Containers and Orchestration                                        Kubernetes (hands on knowledge)

Best Practises                                                                   Security by design principles, High Availability and fault resilience principles, Micro Segmentation.

Public Cloud                                                                     AWS, Azure (hands on experience)

Infrastructure as a code                                                  Terraform, Ansible or similar

CI/CD systems                                                                  Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines, GitHub or similar tools

 

  • Experience architecting, designing, and developing complex, enterprise grade, configurable, scalable private cloud infrastructure.
  • A background in systems level thinking and design. Combined with the ability to translate technical strategy and architectures into concrete, minimal viable products, with the right trade-offs and phasing.
  • Exposure to software development would be an added advantage. 
  • Deep understanding of the architectural principles for cloud-based platforms that include SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, infrastructure as code, and continuous availability.
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
