The Procurement Manager, Indirect, is entrusted with leading strategic sourcing initiatives across categories such as Marketing, Professional Services, HR Services, Business Process Outsourcing, and IT. This role is accountable for delivering substantial cost savings, optimizing procurement efficiencies, and ensuring robust compliance with business objectives. The incumbent will mentor and guide junior procurement managers, fostering their professional growth and capability development.

 

This role will be supporting both Indirect purchases at an Opco level as well as at a Group level.

 

Make an Impact by

  1. Lead and Mentor the Procurement Team
    –    Guide, coach, and develop junior procurement managers, fostering a high-performance culture and growth mindset. 
    –    Foster the adoption of best-in-class procurement practices among junior team members through guidance and knowledge sharing.
  2. Drive End-to-End Procurement Strategy
    –    Independently manage the full procurement lifecycle—including strategy development, stakeholder engagement, contract negotiation, execution, and compliance—across multiple indirect categories.
    –    Demonstrate openness to adopting AI-driven solutions, setting a positive example by embracing new technologies to enhance ways of working and drive productivity gains.
  3. Proactively Manage Risks and Issues
    –    Anticipate and address potential procurement risks, implement preventive measures, and escalate critical matters appropriately to ensure seamless operation.
  4. Champion Innovation and Continuous Improvement
    – Promote creative problem-solving and leverage digital tools and market intelligence to enhance procurement processes, drive efficiency, and deliver sustainable value.
    – Set a positive example in embracing AI and emerging technologies, driving the adoption of innovative solutions that enhance productivity and transform ways of working.
  5. Ensure Strong Governance and Stakeholder Alignment
    –    Uphold rigorous procurement governance, maintain compliance with policies and regulations, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

 

Skills for Success

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, or related field
  • Min 12 years of working experience within procurement
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing procurement strategies, with a track record of successfully delivering financial savings
  • Proficient in using e-sourcing tools
  • Good knowledge of procurement best practices.
  • Telecommunications industry experience desired.
