The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across categories such as Marketing, Professional Services, HR Services, Business Process Outsourcing, and IT, to deliver cost savings, enhance sourcing efficiencies, and ensure compliance—all while aligning with business objectives. This role requires a proactive approach to influencing stakeholders from the onset, challenging spend requirements, and driving value beyond cost.

1.Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect categories, leveraging market insights and innovative sourcing levers.
  • Challenge business needs and influence decisions early in the process to optimize spend and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to renewal and compliance monitoring.

2. Agility & Digital Enablement

  • Continuously enhance ways of working by leveraging AI tools, automation, and digital procurement solutions to drive efficiency, improve insights, and enable data-driven decision-making. 
  • Act as a Project Management Office (PMO) lead for department-level improvement initiatives, ensuring structured planning, execution, and delivery of transformation projects.
  • Champion a culture of agility and innovation by introducing best practices, optimizing workflows, and fostering adoption of emerging technologies across procurement processes.

3. Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong supplier partnerships to foster innovation and ensure service excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business goals while maintaining compliance.

4. Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements. 
    Drive transprency and accountability in tendering and award processes by implementing structured evaluation criteria and documentation standards.
  • Proactively guide stakeholders on best-in-class sourcing practices, fostering fairness, competitiveness, and compliance throughout the procurement lifecycle.

5. Market Intelligence & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay abreast of supply market trends, economic shifts, and emerging technologies.
  • Promote a growth mindset within the team and organization to embrace change and deliver continuous improvement.

 

Skills for Success

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, or related field.
  • Min 5 years of working experience within procurement
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing procurement strategies, with a track record of successfully delivering financial savings.
  • Proficient in using e-sourcing tools.
  • Good knowledge of procurement best practices.
  • Possess a strategic focus with the ability to analyse, formulate and implement procurement strategies to significantly reduce costs
  • Strong influencing, collaboration, sourcing project management and negotiation skills.
  • Effective communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
