OCBC Bank is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Business Analyst to support digital wealth initiatives within Tech Solutions – Consumer Banking. The role is responsible for translating business strategy and product vision into clear, implementable requirements, while partnering closely with business, operations, architecture, development, testing, and support teams to deliver robust front-to-back solutions. This role requires strong domain knowledge in wealth products, digital channels, and associated operational processes, together with the ability to identify design gaps, improve user journeys, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business requirements gathering with business users, product owners, and relevant stakeholders across digital wealth initiatives.

  • Analyse end-to-end product design and user journeys, identify potential gaps, and recommend alternative solutions to improve business outcomes, including revenue uplift, customer experience, and operational productivity.

  • Translate business needs into clear product, functional, and operational requirements that can be effectively consumed by technology delivery teams.

  • Formalise business requirements through detailed documentation on Confluence, JIRA stories, use cases, functional flows, business process descriptions, acceptance criteria, and other relevant artefacts.

  • Collaborate closely with delivery stakeholders to shape practical and scalable technical solutions for implementation.

  • Support implementation activities by helping to identify areas for troubleshooting, facilitating issue investigation, and driving timely resolution.

  • Validate that user requirements are achievable and complete, and support business users throughout User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation, and post-implementation phases.

  • Partner with business users and technology support teams to investigate and resolve production issues in a structured and timely manner.

  • Develop and maintain strong expertise in the wealth domain, and proactively share relevant industry, market, and technology developments with the team.

  • Drive front-to-back operational efficiency and business revenue improvements through platform, process, and innovation initiatives.

  • Facilitate alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and ensure solution decisions remain anchored to target business outcomes.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices, documentation standards, and requirement quality across Agile and Waterfall initiatives.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate should possess strong domain expertise, business analysis capability, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced banking technology environment.

    • In-depth knowledge of wealth products and associated front-to-back processes, such as financial needs analysis, trade execution, settlement, reconciliation, and post-settlement events, with at least 1-2 areas of functional expertise.

    • Coverage in one or more wealth/product domains, such as Cash FX, Cash Equities, Unit Trusts, ETFs, Robo-advisory, Structured Products, Treasury Products, Cash Management products, and Fixed Income.

    • Good understanding of financial and global market regulations relevant to wealth and investment products.

    • Strong understanding of financial technology platforms and digital channels, with the ability to work effectively with business users, developers, and architects.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assimilate information quickly, structure ambiguity, and build consensus across multiple stakeholders.

    • Knowledge of trading, middle-office, and back-office platforms is advantageous, including systems such as FinIQ, SIBS, SICS, eManager, and Murex.

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse stakeholder groups.

    • Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and switch context across multiple wealth initiatives and delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall projects.

    • Strong outcome orientation, with high levels of diligence, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality, consistent deliverables.

    • Experience in driving digital initiatives with Business and Operations stakeholders will be a strong advantage.

    • Experience in requirement decomposition, process mapping, workshop facilitation, and test scenario support is highly desirable.

    • A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to challenge constructively, surface risks early, and drive issues to closure.

    Preferred Profile

    • Minimal 8 years’ experience in banking, wealth management, or investment product technology delivery.

    • Proven track record in supporting digital platform transformation, business process optimisation, or customer journey enhancement initiatives.

    • Comfort working with senior business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams in a matrix environment.

    • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and detailed follow-through.
