As a key player in OCBC’s Financial Institutions team, you’ll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with some of the region’s most influential financial institutions. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and drive business growth. How you succeed
To excel in this role, you’ll need to develop a deep understanding of the financial institutions landscape, including the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities. You’ll leverage this knowledge to identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with key decision-makers, and provide innovative solutions that meet their evolving needs. Your ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders will be essential to your success.
What you do
The candidate will be part of a Global FI team covering and establishing new banking partnerships within the Financial Institutions segment.
Reporting to the Team Head, you will:
1. Be the global relationship manager for a portfolio of clients, comprising mainly from the Bank Segment
2. Strengthen the bank’s market position as one of the key “go-to” partner banks in Asia
3. Drive new relationship initiatives, including developing new partnerships, and originating new transactions.
4. Leverage on the bank’s platform, leading cross-functional teams to drive deal execution.
5. Joint customer visits/ calls conducted with product partners or senior managers in understanding client’s business and obtaining new business.
6. Promote financial institutions products across Transaction Banking Services, Loans & Trade Finance Solutions, Debt Capital Markets & Global Markets will be beneficial.
7. Monitor developments in market conditions, regulatory changes, country risk and table relevant updates.
Who you are
-
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or related fields.

Experience in covering banks across the APAC region and equipped with good writing and presentation skills.

Strong Product knowledge of transaction banking, Trade Finance, Treasury and Capital Markets would be an advantage.

Mastery of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, OneDrive) required.

Good team player who is driven, pro-active with a positive attitude and comfortable with a dynamic, fast-changing environment.

Recommended minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience.
