How You Succeed

What you do

  • Conduct physical security risk assessments for critical infrastructure, premises, operations, and bank events.

  • Design technical security solutions and provide specifications, operational guidance, and consultancy to business units.

  • Lead physical security programs across geographies, ensuring security operations, procedures, installations comply with local regulations and Group OCBC policies.

  • Gather and analyse intelligence, including geopolitical, socio‑economic, and climate‑related risks, from multiple sources to produce actionable threat assessments.

  • Coordinate with the Global Incident Management Centre to obtain security updates and prepare SITREPs and advisories, including assessments for business travel risks.

  • Develop and implement robust crisis management strategies, including emergency response protocols and exercises to ensure aligned and coordinated responses, and to identify areas of improvement with the business units.  Manages and provides security responses to emergencies and crisis situations, and liaise with the various authorities where required.

  • Create and deliver physical security training materials for employees.

  • Develop policies, procedures, and self‑assessment programs to identify threats and vulnerabilities, providing guidance to mitigate them.

  • Provide strategic planning, consultancy, and tools to enhance the protection of physical assets and personnel, including risk‑based asset protection plans and integrated security programs (systems and operations).

  • Support physical security–related projects.

  • Build and maintain strong networks with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.

  • Provides EP when required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including support outside standard operating hours

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree. A degree in a relevant field, such as security management, international relations, political science or law enforcement is a plus.

  • Recognized professional certification in security is a plus.

  • Min. 7-year experience in banking/financial industry with retail banking security or 10 years equivalent (security operations, electronic security systems, CCTV, crisis management and intelligence gathering, etc.)

  • Possess skills in Physical Security Risk Assessments, Counter-Terrorism knowledge, investigation skills, experience in Security Operations and Systems, intelligence gathering and crisis management.

  • Strong knowledge of security applications and tools such as major access control systems, PSIMS, crisis communication tools, intelligence gathering tools, etc is a plus.

  • Ability to handle sensitive situations effectively.

  • Retail banking experiences is a plus.
