What you do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deal Structuring Support: Assist in structuring deals and preparing termsheets (summaries of terms) for potential syndicated loans to Indonesian borrowers.

  • Transaction Execution: Support the deal team in coordinating and executing roadshows, syndication launches, and the preparation of information packages.

  • Documentation Review: Assist in reviewing legal documentation to ensure alignment with agreed financing terms.

  • Pitch & Proposal Development: Prepare underwriting proposals and pitch materials to attract potential lenders for Indonesian financing opportunities.

  • Financial Modeling: Assist in building and maintaining financial models to analyze borrower creditworthiness and transaction viability.

  • Market Insights: Develop an understanding of the Indonesian loan market and the unique challenges and opportunities within the region.

  • Ad-hoc Support: Provide support on other ad-hoc matters as needed.

Who you work with

The Indonesia Coverage team within Loan Capital Markets is dedicated to providing innovative financing solutions to Indonesian corporations. You’ll work alongside experienced bankers, analysts, and legal professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Who you are

  • Open to learning and feedback

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

  • Preferably with internship experience in banking.

  • Good understanding of financial accounts and with credit analytical skills.

  • Experience with financial modelling is preferred.

  • Ability to write concisely and succinctly with excellent English.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Independent, self-motivated, high initiative, and strong in interpersonal skills.

  • Meticulous and able to work under pressure.

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

  • A foundational understanding of syndicated loan structures, processes, and key stakeholders, specifically within the Indonesian market.

  • Insights into the roles of arranger, agent, and participant banks in a syndicated financing.

  • Skills in analyzing financial statements and key credit metrics of Indonesian corporate borrowers.

  • Exposure to the full lifecycle of a financing transaction, from pitching to mandate, execution, and successful closing.

  • Experience in preparing presentation materials, deal summaries, and client communications.
