- Evaluate and develop collateral haircut, derivative margining methodology including the documentation, enhance risk analytics, collateral haircut parameters/margin requirements and its model implementation in line with industry standards
- Promote collaboration and teamwork with Front Office and other relevant stakeholders (Cross Assets Product Specialists including dealers, structurers, portfolio managers etc.) to deepen their risk awareness and to assist them in risk mitigation strategies
- Liaise and advise Front Office, stakeholders and senior management to deepen their risk awareness and to assist them in lending risk management decisions and action plans.
- Provide advisory to Senior Management on Collateral Risk Management specifically on Product, Market and Regulatory and Strategic Risk matters.
- Participate and lead product review and approval process as part of Functional Specialist Working Group
- Identify and mitigate any gaps in current practices, processes and policies
- Streamline and tighten existing BAU controls and ensure that, at a minimum, market best practices are observed
- Perform process reengineering/reviews of processes to improve efficiency/productivity and customer experience
- Partake re-engineering process as part of bank digital transformation journey including change initiatives and projects relating to market risk or risk management
Requirements:
- University degree, preferably in fields of quantitative finance/financial engineering, financial risk management or equivalent
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in market risk (analytics) or collateral evaluation, preferably with private banking and wealth management experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial products (cross asset classes) including investment products, financial derivatives and structured products with securities and collateralized lending experience.
- Experienced in financial instrument valuation, margining, and risk models.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse teams (cross entity) and multi-stakeholders, navigating different cultural norms, communication styles and complex requirements
- Matured and experienced to deal effectively with senior managers, regulators, and executive committee members.
- Excellent presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficient IT skills i.e. Python/SQL, MS Office Suite, Bloomberg/Refinitiv, Margin Man, Numerix. Good working knowledge in Business Intelligence tool (Power BI), strong Project Management such as Agile/Scrum and data science & advanced analytics are considered as advantages
