Make an Impact by:

  • Provide advice on regulatory and competition policies, frameworks and requirements across telecoms, broadcast, personal data, digital infrastructure etc to business units and ensure that these are met and complied with.
  • Key internal regulatory point of contact for business units, providing coordination and support across business units in order to analyse impact of regulatory policies and decisions, and prepare representation and submissions to IMDA and other government agencies to safeguard Singtel’s interests.
  • Monitor, analyse upcoming policies, regulations, laws, guidelines in Singapore and proactively review and advise the impact and implications across all the business units, and support in business units’ response plans.
  • Actively develop, prepare regulatory submissions, and engage/lobby IMDA and other government agencies (e.g. CSA/MHA/SPF), including responses to consultations, directions, enforcements, appeals, reconsiderations for all the business units across a range of issues, e.g. mobile coverage, quality of service, spectrum, incident reporting, building access, anti-scam measures and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Manage and monitor compliance with all business units.
  • Supervising and provide guidance to the officers in IAR on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Interpret complex policies, negotiate compliance, and advocate Singtel’s interests and resolves multi-dimensional regulatory issues – often spanning legal, technical, and commercial aspects, and maintain trustful, collaborative relationships that safeguard the company’s compliance and strategic objectives.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Degree in Law, Business, Engineering or Economics.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a telecom industry.
  • Possess strong critical/analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent writing and conversational skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-motivated, organised and highly energised to work on a fast pace multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to manage deadlines.
