As a Digital Channels Intern within Group Engineering, you’ll gain exposure to real-world innovation projects in a tech-forward environment. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring curiosity, initiative, and a strong interest in exploring new technologies. You’ll be comfortable learning through experimentation, collaborating with others, and iterating on ideas. Your willingness to ask questions, test assumptions, and translate concepts into working prototypes will help you add value to innovation initiatives and team discussions.
What you do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prototype Development: support the Innovation Team in building prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts using new technologies such as AI, cloud, IoT, and automation
- Tech Exploration & Research: assist with researching, evaluating, and hands-on testing of new tools, frameworks, and platforms
- Pilot Projects: contribute to pilot initiatives and internal experiments to validate innovation ideas
- Collaboration: work closely with engineers and product owners to develop and refine technical solutions
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: prepare technical documentation, process notes, and findings for internal sharing
- Ideation & Problem Solving: participate in brainstorming sessions and collaborative problem-solving activities
Who you work with
You’ll be part of the Digital Channels team under Group Engineering, working alongside engineers, innovation specialists, and product partners. The team focuses on exploring new technologies and developing solutions that enhance digital experiences, while fostering a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
Who you are
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a technology-related discipline
- Interested in innovation, emerging technologies, and hands-on problem solving
- Familiar with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java
- Self-motivated, curious, and willing to learn in an experimental environment
- Comfortable working collaboratively and communicating ideas clearly
- Exposure to cloud platforms, AI/ML, or low-code/no-code tools is an advantage
