As a Treasury Operations – Business Management Intern within Group Operations & Technology, you’ll play a role in strengthening process excellence and enabling the smooth execution of treasury activities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to understand how global market trades are supported end-to-end, while developing skills in problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and operational transformation.

What you do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Business Management Support: work with the Business Management team responsible for process excellence, project management, and testing, acting as a liaison within the department and across the organisation
- Trade Lifecycle Exposure: gain an understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, from inception through settlement and reporting
- Workshops & Performance Management: support workshop planning and assist with scorecards, metrics, financial reporting, and documentation to drive departmental performance
- Process Improvement & Automation: collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and system automation
- Ways of Working: support initiatives that drive new ways of working and behaviours to deliver faster, better, and more cost-efficient internal and external services
- User Tools Review: review, maintain, and enhance user-assisted tools to improve processes and recommend more strategic alternatives
Who you work with
You’ll be part of the Treasury Operations team within Group Operations & Technology, a function that supports the bank’s global markets activities. The team works closely with internal stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Business units to manage operational risk, improve efficiency, and respond to the demands of an ever-changing global financial environment.
Who you are
- Open to learning and able to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- A quick learner with strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- Proficient in Excel (including macros) and Python programming
- Knowledge of treasury products such as Foreign Exchange (FX) and Securities is an advantage
