Be part of a sector‑focused team supporting clients across the Energy, Infrastructure, and Utilities landscape. As an intern within Global Energy, Infrastructure & Utilities, you’ll gain valuable exposure to the energy market and develop a foundational understanding of how banks assess industry dynamics, risks, and financial performance. This role offers hands-on learning through research and analysis, helping you build core banking and industry knowledge in a real business context.

What you do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Industry & Company Research: conduct research on the energy industry, including specific companies or corporate groups
- Financial Analysis Support: analyse historical financial statements of selected energy companies to understand financial performance and trends
- Insight Preparation: support the team in preparing summaries, analyses, or materials based on research findings
- Team Support: provide general support to relationship managers and team members on ongoing tasks and initiatives
Who you work with
You’ll be part of the Global Energy, Infrastructure & Utilities team within Global Corporate Banking, working alongside relationship managers and sector specialists. The team supports clients across the energy value chain and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to manage risks and deliver banking solutions tailored to the industry.

- An Undergraduate student with an interest in energy, infrastructure, finance, or corporate banking
- Organised, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
- Curious about industry trends and financial performance
- Able to manage tasks responsibly and communicate clearly
Learning Objectives
This internship will provide you with:
- Exposure to the broad Energy market and its key segments
- Understanding of industry‑specific risks relevant to Energy players
- Foundational knowledge of financial statements of typical Energy market companies
- Hands-on experience in industry and company research
