We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Insights Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data analysis, financial modeling, and business intelligence, preferably with experience in private banking or financial services.
Together with a senior lead, you will function as the bridge between raw data and executive strategy, support the end-to-end Sales Performance Management lifecycle—from the sophisticated modeling of annual targets to the tracking of Net New Assets (NNA), Revenue, and RM productivity throughout the course of the year.
This role is also responsible for supporting the transformation of data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and business growth. You will support assigned deep dives targeted at unlocking sales/revenue opportunities in our clients’ AUM base.
Main Responsibilities
1. Financial KPI & Target Setting (Role-Specific)

Targets Calibration: Support the annual and mid-year target-setting process for Relationship Managers (RMs) and Team Heads, Market Heads and Heads of Sales, ensuring targets are set according to framework, allocating growth in a consistent and fair approach, grounded in historical performance and market potential.

KPI Framework Development: Support the design and back-testing of financial KPI scorecards that include financial metrics (NNM, Revenue, CIR etc.)

Governance: Manage the “Target Challenge” process together with senior lead, for the markets assigned to your portfolio, providing data-backed evidence to adjudicate disputes regarding budget/target allocations.
2. Business Insights & Sales Analytics

Performance Diagnostics: Support the identification of trends, leakage points, and growth opportunities within RM books to provide actionable insights to Sales Heads.

Dashboard Ownership: Develop and maintain automated BI dashboards (e.g., Tableau/PowerBI) that track Sales Pipeline, Client Retention, and Product Penetration.

Scenario Modeling: Build predictive models to forecast the impact of different payout structures or hurdle rates on the bank’s bottom line.

Predictive Analytics: Use data to identify “At-Risk” clients/RMs or high-propensity prospects for specific investment products.
3. General Sales Management Support

Management Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly TP traction report and Business Review decks for the Head of Sales Management update at the HOS and MH forums.

Incentive Management: Support our collaboration with HR and Finance to ensure the accuracy of Financial KPI ratings that impact the variable compensation calculations based on the KPI framework.

Process Improvement/ Team ORP duties: Support responsibilities as team ORP rep, bridging all engagements with COO Operational Risk Partner.
Work Experience & Requirements

Experience: 5-8+ years of experience in business analytics, financial analysis, or a similar role, preferably in private banking or financial services.

Academic Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, or Economics).

Industry Experience: 5–8 years of experience in Financial Services, specifically within Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Premier Banking.

Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Private Banking products (Lending, Structured Products, DPM) and metrics (NNA, NNM, AUM).

Advanced Data Manipulation: Mastery of SQL for data extraction and Python/R for advanced statistical analysis.

BI Visualization: Expert-level proficiency in Tableau, PowerBI, or QlikView (moving beyond simple charts to complex, interactive drill-downs).

Excel Power User: Ability to build complex financial models, including VBA/Macros and Power Pivot.

Data Governance: Familiarity with banking data privacy standards (e.g., PDPA, GDPR) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).

Familiarity with financial and banking databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) is an advantage.

The “Translator” Ability: The rare skill of explaining complex data methodologies to non-technical stakeholders (Sales Heads and RMs).

Commercial Acumen: Understanding the why behind the numbers—knowing how market volatility or interest rate hikes impact RM behavior.

Resilience: Ability to maintain objectivity and stand your ground when discussing performance targets with (and often vocal) Front Office management/BMs.
