The intern will get to understand and gain working knowledge of Singtel’s corporate sustainability strategy, approach and programmes. The intern will contribute to the development, planning and implementation of sustainability activities and events, including (but not limited to):

 • Fundraising for Singtel Touching Lives Fund

• Staff volunteering activities

• Singtel-Singapore Cancer Society Race Against Cancer

• Digital Empowerment programmes such as Digital for Life outreach workshops

 

The intern is expected to:

• Plan and organise staff awareness activities as well as internal- and external- facing events

• Manage administrative support related to the events

• Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders (e.g. external partners and vendors, charities, employees) for event set-up and logistics to ensure seamless execution

• Manage and track events timelines and budgets • Craft communications and articles for the internal staff portal to engage staff on sustainability initiatives

• Assist Group Sustainability Managers with ongoing programmes and projects

 

(B) Prerequisites/Requirements

• Keen interest in sustainability

• Independent worker and strong team player

• Conscientious, willing to learn and attention to details

• Good organisational and communications skills

• Takes initiative

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Preferably with proficiency in design tools such as Canva (C) Skills developed through this internship

• Sustainability mindset and understanding of corporate sustainability, in particular, Singtel’s sustainability approach, management and programmes

• Event management

• Communication and writing skills

• Confidence and knowledge needed to thrive in a professional environment
