We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on backend engineering to join the Paragon K8aaS engineering team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Java-based backend development, distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and Kubernetes platforms.

 

Make an impact by

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build and support cloud-native applications running on Kubernetes platforms
  • Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Kafka
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to platform engineering initiatives for K8aaS
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, SREs, and product teams
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide production support when required
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and observability
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives
  • Ensure coding best practices, security standards, and quality engineering practices are followed

Skills for success

  • Strong experience in Java development (Java 17/21 preferred)
  • Experience with Spring Boot, REST API development, and microservices architecture
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns
  • Understanding of Kubernetes concepts and container orchestration, including Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Helm charts
  • Knowledge of scaling, resiliency, and cloud-native application concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Docker and containerization technologies
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting
  • Exposure to frontend technologies and frameworks
