About the Department

Markets Operations – Equities department plays a critical role in supporting OCBC Securities business & stakeholders to execute and support the Businesses’ Singapore’s operational activities including pre and post settlements, trade amendments, Instrument creation, Corporate Action and Custody.

Markets Operations – Equities is embarking on a transformation journey, providing a suite of operational support services to our business units while focusing on cost efficiency through process re-engineering, automation and straight through processing.

About the job

  • Perform daily operational activities including trade processing and amendments, settlement processing, and instrument reference data support, ensuring timely and consistent delivery in accordance with SOPs

  • Ensure all queries and escalations are managed in a timely manner

  • Ability to plan and prioritize the daily work to achieve efficient and effective management of time and has exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation

  • Provide subject matter expertise and support to downstream teams and clients, helping resolve queries

  • Ensure proper controls are in place to reduce risk, and perform procedures to maintain adherence to those controls

  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain a consistent and effective operating model.

  • Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail, able to identify pain points and develop practical solutions.

  • Contribute to ongoing projects and process reengineering efforts – identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality.

  • Updating of procedures in response to process or regulatory changes, control guidelines and compliance framework

  • Handle Ad-Hoc Project as assigned by Manager

Skills and Experience required:

  • Graduate with at least 3 years of working experience in banking operations

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of market data such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv will be an added advantage.

  • Proficient in MS office application

  • Good knowledge of banking regulatory requirements and industry best practices

  • Proven track record of process improvement and project management initiatives

  • Proficiency in technical skills like VBA, Python, etc will be a plus

Work Arrangement:

  • 9.00 am to 6.30 pm (OT as and when required)

  • Due to the job nature in handling equities system operations, this role requires 100% work in office, currently based at OCBC Centre.

  • The team will relocate to Tampines next year.
