ABOUT GROUP OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE (GOE)
Our mission is to be the trusted partner to senior management and their teams in shaping and accelerating future-ready transformation across the organisation. We work closely with business leaders to shape transformation agendas and roadmaps, and partner them in delivering complex cross-functional initiatives. We measure our success by the lasting value we create for OCBC.
JOB PURPOSE
AI, Digital and Data are at the core of OCBC’s corporate strategy. As the Transformation Excellence Lead, you will lead the identification, development and scaling of transformation opportunities through the application of technology, data and new ways of working.
You will lead the development and scaling of the Group’s Process Mining capability, leveraging system-generated data to reconstruct end-to-end customer and operational journeys, uncover hidden inefficiencies and identify high-impact transformation opportunities.
Building on these insights, you will help shape the Group’s digital transformation agenda by fostering innovation, accelerating experimentation, and enabling the development of technology-enabled solutions that address strategic business priorities. Working closely with business and technology teams, you will drive the translation of ideas into scalable solutions, establish fit-for-purpose delivery approaches and governance, and support the adoption of successful outcomes across the Group.
The role will also advance GOE’s transformation capabilities by applying emerging technologies, data-driven insights and new approaches to strengthen how opportunities are identified and delivered across the Group.
We are looking for a leader who combines strong business acumen with a forward-looking technology mindset. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, keeps abreast of emerging technologies, and enjoys exploring how new capabilities can be applied to solve business problems. Equally comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and driving execution, you will play a key role in turning ideas into practical solutions that create lasting value for OCBC.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and scale the Group’s Process Mining capability, including defining its strategic direction, establishing methodologies, identifying priority use cases and driving adoption across the organisation.
• Translate insights into actionable transformation opportunities, business cases and implementation roadmaps that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Drive the development and scaling of technology-enabled solutions by establishing the operating model, governance and capabilities required to accelerate experimentation, delivery and adoption across the Group.
• Drive the evolution of the Group’s transformation toolkit and methods, leveraging AI, digital and data capabilities to improve how opportunities are identified, assessed, prioritised and delivered across the organisation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to OCBC’s business priorities and transformation objectives.
• Develop executive-level analyses, recommendations and materials to support decision-making by senior management.
• Drive stakeholder alignment, execution oversight and benefits realisation across key transformation initiatives.
DESIRED PROFILE
We are seeking experienced leaders from banking, technology or consulting backgrounds who are passionate about applying AI, Digital and Data to solve complex business problems.
Candidates should typically have 12–18 years of relevant experience in transformation, digital, analytics, operational excellence, consulting or technology-enabled change roles, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes.
Key attributes include:
• Strong business and technology acumen, with the ability to connect emerging technologies to practical business applications and measurable outcomes.
• Naturally curious and intellectually driven, with a keen interest in exploring new technologies, challenging conventional approaches and identifying opportunities for innovation.
• Comfortable operating across strategy, data and execution, with the ability to move from problem identification to solution implementation.
• Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders while maintaining a hands-on approach to problem-solving and delivery.
• Strong structured thinking and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
What we offer:
Competitive base salary. A suite of holistic, flexible benefits to suit every lifestyle. Community initiatives. Industry-leading learning and professional development opportunities. Your wellbeing, growth and aspirations are every bit as cared for as the needs of our customers.
