The Satellite Operations Engineer (TT&C) is responsible for supporting the Telemetry, Tracking and Command (TT&C) operations of satellites in orbit, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient satellite operations throughout the mission lifecycle.

 

How You will Make An Impact:

 

  • Support telemetry, tracking, command, and satellite command and control operations.
  • Execute satellite flight operations and manoeuvre plans in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform satellite operations planning, monitoring, and health analysis.
  • Serve as the technical specialist for critical satellite operations and anomaly investigation and recovery.
  • Manage and provide technical guidance to Satellite Controllers supporting ST-2 satellite manoeuvre operations.
  • Perform trend analysis of satellite subsystems to support mission performance and longevity.
  • Participate in a 24×7 on-call standby roster to support operational requirements and anomaly response.
  • Support quality management, business continuity, and operational audit activities.
  • Maintain operational documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Satellite Communications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant professional engineering experience in satellite or space systems, with demonstrated contributions to satellite operations or space missions.
  • Sound knowledge of satellite communications and TT&C operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and problem-solving skills in an operational environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in a 24×7 operational support and on-call standby roster, as required.
