The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, Employee Relations and HR Risk & Compliance, you are part of the Group Human Resources team responsible for managing employee relations matters, ensuring the organization complies with legal and regulatory requirements and fostering a positive work environment in support of the organization’s core values.

What you do

    Employee Relations

    • Provide advice and partnership to HR Business Partners on handling employee relations issues.

    • Serve as point of contact for employee relations matters relating to employee grievances, complaints and workplace misconduct.

    • Conduct investigations into employee complaints, workplace misconduct and violations of the organization policies.

    • Support Industrial Relations matters including collective agreement negotiation with unions, addressing grievances, disputes and concerns of unionised employees.

    • Manage Ethics and Conduct initiatives to foster a positive and safe work environment in line with the organization’s core values.

    • Develop, implement and update employee relations and code of conduct policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the organization’s core values, legal and regulatory requirements.

     

    HR Risk & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, including Workplace Fairness Framework and Employment Act.

    • Support compliance in fit and proper checks including daily / periodic employee screening and annual credit screening for Senior Managers / Material Risk Takers, financial and non-financial representatives.

    • Serves as Personal Data Protection division representative for Group Human Resources

    Qualifications

     

    Who you are

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing employee relations issues, HR compliance or industrial relations matters.
    • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
    • Experience working in a commercial bank is preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risks and propose mitigation strategies.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
