Description
Reporting to the one of the BP&A Team Leads, Consumer Financial Services Finance, you will play a supporting role in driving the performance of the business from a customer segment and product perspective through the provision of strategic insights and decision support to the GCFS Leadership Team.
Your key responsibilities may include and not limited to:
- Business Performance Reporting: Preparing regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate financial performance to senior management and key stakeholders. This includes analysing and interpreting financial data to provide meaningful insights and explanations for variances and trends, including quarterly competitor performance benchmarking.
- Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management: Partnering with the business teams in driving and executing growth strategies across products, segments and channels, such as pricing framework, segment strategies, cross-referrals arrangements. This involves building strong relationships and effectively communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Collaborating with various departments and senior management to develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the organization. This involves analysing historical financial data, market trends, and business drivers to prepare forward-looking value-added analysis and timely support on all business performance related matters (financial and non-financial), including the delivery of the Annual Operating Plan, Annual bank wide ICAAP/MAS stress test etc.
- Financial Analysis: Conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. This includes analysing key performance indicators (KPIs), financial ratios, and other financial metrics to provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Cost Analysis and Control: Analysing costs and expenses to identify areas of inefficiency and recommend cost-saving measures. This includes working closely with other key stakeholders of the bank to review and investigate monthly cost performance and assist in executing cost management agendas.
- Strategic Planning Support: Providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning initiatives. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams track the progress of key strategic initiatives and highlight risks and opportunities against Plan delivery and recommend actions needed (where appropriate).
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline – Finance / Accountancy / Economics / Banking with at least 3 to 5 years of related working experience
- Possess strong commercial judgement, professional maturity and results orientation
- Good interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Resilient individual who can adapt, multi-task and work effectively under pressure
- Able to work independently and cooperatively with others as a team
- Good technical skills – MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Power BI, QlikView and Programming knowledge will be an advantage.
- Experience delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
- Experienced finance professional in a Bank or Financial Institution FP&A capacity preferred
- A member of The Institute of Singapore Charted Accountants, or possess required qualification to act as a Company Secretary an added advantage
- Knowledge of Treasury and Cash Management function of Securities and Brokerage business an added advantage
