Job Description: 

We are looking for a Global Markets Research Intern to join our macro team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the team with data mining and collecting information on the latest news and macroeconomic developments. The intern will work closely with our team and have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to the real-world environment and form views on certain markets and countries. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to interact with traders, sales professionals, asset managers, and other key professionals in the industry. The intern will also have the opportunity to learn how to use the financial platform and database such as Bloomberg, Eikon and CEIC etc. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong interest in finance, economics, or related fields and possess excellent research and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Macro Research team in data mining and collecting information on the latest news and macro developments
  • Conduct research and analysis on financial markets, macroeconomic trends, and industry news
  • Create and maintain financial models, charts, and other visual aids to support the team’s research
  • Monitor and track key economic indicators and market trends
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other deliverables for clients and senior management
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on research findings and opportunities

 

Qualifications

 

Job Requirements:

  • Strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and global affairs. 
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with a keen eye for details
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skill 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Programming is a plus
