Job Description & Summary

As a Senior Manager or experienced Manager, you will lead a project team in providing innovative accounting and financial reporting solutions for our clients in the region, especially for financial services clients and projects related to financial instruments. These solutions cover a wide range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, implementation of accounting or reporting requirements / standards as follows:

  • Technical accounting advisory on IFRS or other GAAP requirements, especially on IFRS 9

  • IFRS 9 ECL review and validation

  • Implementation of new accounting or reporting requirements / standards

  • Embedding reporting / accounting changes to the client’s systems, models, controls and processes

  • Providing solutions to reporting systems implementation including IFRS 9 system e.g. data specification, UAT support etc.  

  • Structuring transactions or financial products 

  • Preparing financial statements including carve out, pro-forma, IFRS 7 disclosures etc.

  • Accounting and reporting matters for the end-to-end IPO journey, including improving accounting policy and documentation and enhancing reporting processes and disclosures.

Requirements

  • Ideally a graduate with accounting or finance qualification

  • Knowledge about financial instruments and IFRS 9, especially ECL. Preferably with financial services knowledge.

  • At least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience with an international public accounting firm or financial institution with experience in accounting advisory, statutory audit or financial reporting 

  • Strong analytical and communications skills.
