Your goal is to transform and standardize data architecture in Singtel with the recommendation of technology stacks and support the use of data-driven insights to help our business achieve positive outcomes and objectives.

Make an Impact by

• Provide Architectural leadership and vision for Singtel’s Data Platform.
• Develop strategy and data platform roadmaps.
• Design and oversee current and target data architecture and blueprints to meet business needs.
• Align data architecture with technology and business architecture
• Design and define data security architecture.
• Lead governance forums on the usage of technology stacks for data space.
• Define data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices
• Consult data teams and business stakeholders on data solutions and provides recommendations on emerging technology to senior management.
• Be a key stakeholder and advisor in all new strategic Data initiatives and ensure alignment to the enterprise-wide data strategy; drive a target and consistent data architecture across the organization; develop and document architecture specifications that serve as the reference for engineering and execution.
• Contribute to the business strategies and roadmap development to meet business objectives with existing or emerging data related technologies.
• Identify business value through the use of data.
• Understand the needs of business and the business vision.

Skills for Success 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the architecture domain, with a focus on data architecture and governance.
• Architecture design and  development of large scale data platforms and data solutions
• Expertise in design and management of complex data structures and data processes
• Expertise in metadata management, data processing, reference data management
• Expertise in streaming and batching data processing
• Deep knowledge and hands on experience on big data and cloud computing technologies
• Strong service architecture and development experience with high performance and scalability
• Experience in defining corporate-wide data strategy and data governance
• Extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing data models, integrating data from multiple sources, data flow design, building data pipelines for data platforms –data lake and data warehouse
• Experience in SQL, NoSql, Graph DB, Hadoop and Spark
• Familiar with one or more Architecture Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF etc.)
• Experience in operating architecture review board
• Keep up with the technology development in the related areas in the industry, which could be leveraged to enhance current architectures and build durable new ones
