The Group Strategic Communications and Brand team in the Singtel Group supports the organisation in both its internal and external communications. This team plays a crucial role in protecting Singtel’s reputation and shaping its brand image, by ensuring that its messages are effectively communicated to a diverse range of stakeholders.
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate & Financial Communications Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders across the organisation to develop and implement strategic, integrated communication plans that effectively convey Singtel’s corporate messages, financial performance, and industry leadership through various communication channels. You will also be responsible for managing the Group’s financial communications, including earnings announcements, M&A initiatives and other finance-related events.
Make an Impact by:
- Developing a deep understanding of the Singtel Group’s business to create and execute appropriate communication strategies and plans that advance the Group’s strategic and business objectives.
- Creating content including communications materials such as speeches, news releases, FAQs, and social media posts.
- Identifying media opportunities, pitching stories to media, driving positive media coverage across consumer, business and trade publications.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key media.
- Organising media briefings, interviews, annual general meetings, and other events as required.
- Providing counsel to cross-functional partners on media engagement and crisis management.
- Monitoring and analysing media coverage and key industry developments, drawing insights to improve communications efforts and addressing any negative publicity.
- Proactively identifying, monitoring, and managing the response to crises and issues, developing crisis management communication plans in collaboration with business units.
Skills for Success:
- Degree from a recognised university, preferably specialising in Mass Communications, Public Relations, or Business.
- 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications.
- Experience in financial communications, including financial results and annual reports.
- Ability to work with senior management to translate management goals into actions.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders with different concerns, opinions, or information.
- Ability to multi-task, anticipate issues that may arise and handle high-pressure situations, with a wide scope from media relations to project management
