As a 3D Modeler, you’ll play a crucial role in creating visually compelling assets for film, television, animation, video games, virtual reality, architectural visualization, and more. Your work will contribute to the overall realism and aesthetic quality of the final product.

Responsibilities:

• Asset Creation: o Digitally build, sculpt, and add detail to 3D characters, props, vehicles, and sets (assets).
• Interpret abstract ideas and reference materials to create photo-realistic or stylized 3D models.
• Optimize geometry for downstream departments (e.g., FX, Lighting) while maintaining functionality.
• Collaborate with other artists to ensure seamless integration of assets throughout the production pipeline.
• UV Mapping and Texturing: o Ensure consistent UV mapping and polygonal subdivisions.
• Create high-quality photo-real texture maps.
• Generate “hold out” or Match-Move geometry for downstream use.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender, ZBrush).
• Understanding of clean topology, chamfers, smoothing groups, and PBR (Physically Based Rendering).
• Knowledge of rigging basics and asset creation.
• Eye for proportions, silhouette, and gesture.
• Attention to detail in all aspects of modeling and texturing.
• Ability to interpret concept art and abstract ideas.
• Effective communication and collaboration within a team.
• Adaptability to project requirements and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Computer Graphics, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong portfolio showcasing your modeling skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with downstream departments
