The Regional Operations Manager will manage and enhance the operational performance of data centers across Singapore and regional facilities. This role focuses on implementing best practices, training teams, and supporting the establishment of new data center operations in the region to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Collaborate with Singapore Operations to implement best practices that optimize efficiency and ensure high reliability in data center operations.
  • Streamline operational processes (SOP/EOP) by incorporating sustainability and zero-downtime principles.
  • Conduct operational training and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions for teams.
  • Plan and execute training and simulation drills to improve team readiness and response capabilities.
  • Assist in developing an effective team structure by aligning People, Systems, and Processes.
  • Support the establishment and refinement of a base operating platform in Singapore.
  • Standardize tracking and reporting mechanisms for consistent operational insights.

 

Support Regional Data Center Operations

  • Participate in the recruitment of operational resources for new data centers.
  • Customize operational processes (EOPs, SOPs, MOPs) to fit regional requirements.
  • Assist in setting up local operational structures, including roles and responsibilities.
  • Deliver comprehensive training to prepare operational teams.
  • Ensure new data centers are ready to onboard customers efficiently.
  • Implement operational tracking and reporting systems for regional facilities.
  • Work with the Compliance Team to establish operational standards and certification frameworks for regional data centers.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services / Facilities Management or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8 years of experiences in operation & maintenance related role in Data Centres or mission critical facilities.
  • Knowledge of DC industry standards, local building codes and safety standards. Certification in DC industry is an added advantage.
  • In-depth DC operational knowledge with ability to respond to complex enquiries or complaints from customers, users and/or senior management.
  • Proven management experience in managing a multidisciplinary shift operation team
  • Experience in dealing with various external stakeholders such as customers, consultants, contractors or service vendors.
  • Knowledge on regulations related to Electrical, Mechanical, fire safety and security, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to implement and drive the safety culture, while building an inclusive and collaborative team environment.
