Play a key role in Risk Portfolio Management (RPM) team and contribute to the bank’s credit risk management initiatives. As a dynamic and motivated individual, you will be involved in the department’s digitalisation and infrastructure enhancement initiatives, including data analytics and credit risk data infrastructure projects. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a comprehensive understanding of the bank’s credit risk management systems.

How you succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need to be proactive, analytical, and able to work independently. You will be required to assess risk and opportunities in the context of risk appetite and macro conditions and develop recommendations to support business decisions. You will also need to be able to communicate complex ideas and insights effectively to stakeholders.

What you do

As a member of the RPM team, you will:

 ·   Participate in digitalisation initiatives, including data analytics and credit risk data infrastructure projects

 ·   Analyse portfolio performance, identify trends and drivers, and develop recommendations

 ·   Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk measurement and management frameworks, models, policies, processes, systems, and infrastructure

 ·   Design and produce reports that provide insights and identify opportunities on business developments, and track vulnerabilities to risk developments

Who you work with

You will be working with the Risk Portfolio Management (RPM) team, which is part of OCBC Group’s Risk Management division. The RPM team is responsible for credit portfolio management, including assessing risk and opportunities, analysing portfolio performance, and developing risk measurement and management frameworks.

Who you are

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual with a strong analytical background. You should:

 ·   Preferably be from NUS’s Advanced Technology Attachment Programme (ATAP) Business Analytics or School of Computing

 ·   Have a strong interest in data analytics and credit risk management

 ·   Be able to work independently and as part of a team

 ·   Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Learning Objectives

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

 ·   Participate actively in projects related to credit risk data infrastructure and systems

 ·   Develop a comprehensive understanding of the bank’s credit risk management systems
