The Independence Office is responsible for processes that include interpretation of policy, communication, consultation and disciplinary actions in support of compliance with independence policies by firm’s partners and employees. 

Checkpoint is the main independence platform used to assist the firm’s partners and employees manage their independence. It is a web-based, automated tool that identifies investments that might impair independence and indicates the action required, if any, for a PwC individual to avoid or resolve a violation.  

Your role is to provide administrative support to the Independence Office, primarily in respect of administration of the Checkpoint system for PwC Singapore partners and staff.

Responsibilities

1. Provide support to the administration of Checkpoint:

  • Review various exception reports and investigate anomalies

  • Research and review permissibility of securities

  • Manage self reported matters 

  • Perform data quality checks

  • Liaise with the Acceleration Center staff who assist with Checkpoint monitoring activities 

2. Other duties:

  • Compliance monitoring activities such as independence compliance testing support

  • Report extraction / Filing

  • Compile reporting information

  • System updates

  • Ad-hoc projects 

Preferred skills

  • Good communication skills (written and oral) in managing daily communication with partners and staff and other PwC network firms

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).

  • Good project management skills, ability to manage project timelines and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Must have a positive attitude, be meticulous, organised, careful/discreet in handling sensitive information and able to work under pressure, including the flexibility to adjust and react to changing priorities.

Minimum requirements

  • Holding at least a Diploma-level qualification.
  • Candidates with previous administrative working experience will be preferred.
