AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

The APJ Investment Plays BDM will be a key member of the APJ Investment Programs team under the broader APJ Go-To-Market (GTM) team, driving strategic investment decisions that accelerate AWS’s growth across the Asia-Pacific and Japan region.

The APJ Investment Plays BDM will support the APJ Investments team, harnessing advanced analytics to analyze market trends, customer patterns, and historical investment performance to design high-impact priority plays the business will invest in to drive optimal pipeline growth and conversion across the Asia-Pacific and Japan region. They will support the design and construction of data-driven GTM priority plays and investment strategies, and work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, partner, and other specialist teams to execute these investment plays end-to-end. They will own campaign launch, operations, performance analytics, tooling automation, and implement scalable mechanisms to drive effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how sales organizations operate, exceptional project management in order to execute initiatives with speed and at high standards. They will be a resilient, well-organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can identify what needs to be done, and is able to influence and drive actions by others and hold people accountable for achieving their goals.

Basic Qualifications

– 3+ years of experience in sales planning, program and/or project management, consulting, data analytics or business intelligence.
– Experience in developing and analyzing complex business metrics, with proven ability to independently translate data insights into actionable business strategies and recommendations.
– Track record of executing complex, high-impact initiatives from conception to completion, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects.
– Proven success in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments, showcasing adaptability, resilience, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations while delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications

– Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) and experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
– Experience in Technology, Cloud Services, GenAI and developing Agentic tools
