DESCRIPTION

Data Center Sourcing & Procurement (DCSP) supports Data Center Capacity Delivery (DCCD) in obtaining the best services at the lowest costs and manages the full “Supplier Lifecycle” including Strategic Sourcing and Intake, Onboarding, Solicitations, Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) Compliance, Contract management and Supplier Development.
We are looking for a talented, customer-obsessed and open-minded intern based in Singapore to work with our procurement team to learn and help with our day-to-day functions and execute opportunities to continually raise the bar in our organisation. This role offers the unique opportunity to gain insight into the Data Center industry, working with AWS infrastructure teams and vendors across APJC. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must be highly organized and have a demonstrated track record of achieving successful customer-focused outcomes, take ownership, able to learn fast and think big and in their penultimate year of study. The candidate is analytical, meticulous, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has good communication skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and influence employees at all levels of the organization. Candidate needs to be able to commit to a full-time internship (40hours/week) for 6-months from January to June 2025.
Key job responsibilities
Day to day tasks include:
• Consolidate vendor lists across categories and manage internal stakeholders reporting
• Implement process workflows to track supplier availability
• Support vendors through AWS supplier onboarding and qualification process
• Sourcing new vendors for APJC scopes and facilitate contract negotiations
• Identify and execute process improvements projects for sourcing activities
• Engage with internal customers to understand their procurement needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in Associates, Bachelors or greater degree program in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Analysis, Construction, or other related fields
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Pivots, Macros etc
• Self-motivated to work proactively on tasks, attention to detail, ability to do in-depth data mining, methodical approach to work while also seeking to understand the big picture
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Interest in sourcing and supplier relationship management and familiar with procurement concepts – Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), supplier qualification and onboarding, framework agreements, RFI/RFP/RFQ, supplier relationship management, supplier business reviews.
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-moving environment, to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload even when faced with conflicting priorities.
• Experience with tools, systems or dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce, Excel VBA)
