Platforms and Integration (“P&I”) is the team responsible under BOS Global COO (“GCOO”) to build the WM Platform of the future across all offerings, all teams, and all locations. The team is responsible for strategic initiatives including building Channels, Wealth & Execution platforms as well as Regulatory and Risk Transformation. The team is also in charge of financial markets and client data as well as the Agile practice at BOS.

Reporting to the Trading Platform & Execution Lead, the Product Owner will be responsible for the delivery of best-in-class execution systems to our clients and Front Office.

Key responsibilities:

  • To define the strategic product vision for cross-product order management system with core focus on Front Office (FO) and client end-to-end trading journey by working closely with Investment Solutions Group (ISG) and other key stakeholders.
  • Maximising the value of the product resulting from the work of the squads while maintaining the conceptual integrity of the features/components in full alignment with stakeholders from businesses, markets, segments and locations.
  • Gather and perform analyses of end user requirements, understanding upstream and downstream applications and performing functional requirement analyses on cross-product order management system as well as other upstream routing applications from order placement to execution and settlement.
  • Define user stories with detailed functional requirements and ensure stories are groomed with appropriate level of functional details where necessary in collaboration with Tech BA and Engineering Team.
  • Define user test cases, managing user testing as well as system training for end users and go-live planning.
  • Be the leader of Agile squad(s) comprising scrum-master(s), BAs, developers and testers to drive timely and high-quality delivery against the Product backlog.
  • Track and report user engagement, adoption metrics, and develop plans for driving user satisfaction.
  • Seek feedback proactively from ISG to anticipate and understand clients’ needs and market trends.
  • May be assigned other responsibilities, including other adhoc projects and being a cover for other product owners.
  • Proactively contribute to the good cooperation and working dynamics being a living example of OCBC and BOS core values.

Work Experience, Skills, and education requirements

  • A good degree and/or Master’s degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or Technology.

Functional

  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Order Management System or Execution Management System, product management roles including delivering complex, cross-functional projects in Banking & Capital Markets
  • Strong domain knowledge of Private Banking products such as FX & OTC derivatives as well as Equity derivatives and Structured Products.
  • Ability to perform functional analyses, document product trading/process flows, define Target Operating Models, and come up with user guides for key applications.

Non-Functional

  • Ability to lead and influence Agile delivery teams comprising Business Analysts, Tech Analysts, and Developers.
  • Ability to co-ordinate with stakeholders across functions and teams and manage complex interactions.
  • Good logical thinking, intellectual curiosity with strong desire to improve how things are done.
  • Track and report User engagement, adoption metrics, and develop plans for driving User Satisfaction
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency with MS Office toolset, Jira, Data analysis toolset.
  • Relevant Agile certifications or qualification would be advantageous.
