Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of Sembawang Cable Depot’s storage facilities for submarine cable spares.
  • Maintain accurate records of all stored cables, spare parts, and equipment, tracking their movements and allocation.
  • Assign and manage maintenance tasks for depot staff.
  • Arrange labor for cable transfers and internal operations.
  • Coordinate with cable system owners, suppliers, and shipping agents for incoming spares and equipment, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Continuously improve depot operations and processes.
  • Prepare and submit reports on cable spare movements and monthly status updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a relevant industry.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel machinery.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable with hands-on, outdoor work.
  • Knowledge of submarine fiber optics is a plus.
